As well as we know, Google Adsense is known as the king of PPC Program. But there is also other program we can monetize our web or blog. I think You have to try this one. CHITIKA, not the king but the queen.
The difference between Google Adsense and Chitika, is mainly that chitika is targeted for the American and canadian market, now that doesn’t mean, people from other parts of the world can’t use this site, cause, you can, i do to.
When placing an ad of the chitika network, on your webpage/blog or newsletter, you have as with adsense the choise between different ad sizes and colors setups. now where lies the difference between the two of them?
Easy, at chitika they have created a better system of ad placement. What they do is,they ad a picture of the product or website next to the link and discription like with adsense. Much like e-bay or amazon ads, this is proven to work better than the plain old adsense ads.
As a lot of people would most probably notice is that their clicks from adsense are getting lesser each month, or so i noticed when researching. This is mainly because 90% of the surfers online are used to these ads. And also, i noticed that the adsense ads are less targeted lately than before. i’ll give an example, for almost a year i run a blog about golf, so you would expect ads about golf aparel and golf equipment not? Well, today i got adsn for a make money online product, wallpapers of sexy girls and an ad for a dating site. Can you beleive that?
So, now with those ads from chitika, those are very targeted, let’s say you have a website or blog about i phones, then there will actually be ads and pictures of i phones. Now is that the biggest difference? No it’s not, there’s more. Your ads from the Chitika network are only visible for traffic coming from America, Canada, or search engines. So only organic traffic will see your ads. Even you, when you don’t live in north america can’t see the ads, unless you use a special url, that chitika gives after making an ad space.
Now for the people from other parts of the world, you can also choose to show non targeted ads, and they will always appear on your website or blog. downpart yes, it isn’t targeted, so when you have a site about golf, you might as well get ads for cell phones. On that same ad banner, there is a search button, so visitors can look for what they want, without leaving your website, this will on it’s turn, give you more clicks.
With non organic traffic or american traffic, you can also choose for adsense or other networks, you just place an extra piece in the html code, and voila, you’ve got adsense or whatever. Or and now we get to the final point, you are also able to opt for no ads, so you choose what you want. Let me recap:
With Chitika you can choose for:
* Targeted organic north American and search engine traffic ads.
* Non targeted ads (for people from other places)
* No ads
* Other ad networks like Google adsense, or bidvertiser(whatever network you are with.)
I think this is a great addition to google adsense, and you can combine the 2 of them perfectly, yes, you may put up google adsense ads and Chitika ads on the same website or blog.
People, here on hubpages, we only have google adsense, but if you are a website owner or a blogger, i would most defenetly consider adding Chitika to your portfolio.
The most significant difference i almost forgot to tell, is that the clickratio from Chitika is more than 70% higher than with Adsense. Maybe hubpages, should read this and try to pull them in.
